Answer
What Ro charges for Wegovy and Zepbound
The short answer
Ro charges two things: a membership ($39 the first month, then $74 to $149 a month by plan) and the drug. Its cash drug prices match NovoCare, LillyDirect and TrumpRx, so the membership is what you pay extra.
What does the Ro membership cost?
You pay $39 for the first month, refunded if you're not eligible. After that the price depends on how far ahead you prepay, and the drug isn't included in any of them.
| Plan | Per month | How it's billed |
|---|---|---|
| 12 months | $74 | Prepaid annually |
| 6 months | $89 | Prepaid every 6 months |
| 3 months | $99 | Prepaid every 3 months |
| Monthly | $149 | Billed every month |
Read on Ro's own pricing and terms pages in September 2026. The membership fee is non-refundable once paid, and you must cancel 48 hours before renewal.
What does the drug cost through Ro?
The same as buying direct. Ro says its cash prices match LillyDirect, NovoCare and TrumpRx, and the dose prices it lists do: the Wegovy pill is $149, $199 or $299 by dose, the pen $199 for two starter fills and then $349, and the Zepbound KwikPen $299 to $449, with $449 from 7.5 mg up under Lilly's manufacturer offer.
That $449 is Lilly's offer, and Lilly's own terms tie it to refilling within 45 days. Miss the window and Lilly's regular price is $499 at 7.5 mg or $699 at the higher doses.
| Drug | Ro's price | Buying direct |
|---|---|---|
| Wegovy pill | $149 to $299 by dose | Same at NovoCare and TrumpRx |
| Wegovy pen | $199 for two starter fills, then $349 | Same at NovoCare |
| Wegovy HD 7.2 mg | $399 | Same at NovoCare |
| Zepbound KwikPen | $299 to $449, refill within 45 days | Same at LillyDirect |
Ro's own pricing page, compared with NovoCare, LillyDirect and TrumpRx, all read September 2026.
So what does Ro add?
The membership, and what it buys you: prescriber visits, messaging, coaching, lab work if ordered, and an insurance concierge. If you'd buy the same drug from NovoCare or LillyDirect anyway, the membership is the whole difference in price.
Ro charges $15 a consult after 24 in a year, so the membership isn't unlimited visits.
Does Ro take insurance?
For the drug, it can help. Ro checks your coverage for the Wegovy pen, the Zepbound pen and Ozempic, handles any prior authorization, and sends a covered prescription to your pharmacy, which takes about two to three weeks. If you're covered, your drug cost may just be your copay.
The membership itself is cash only; Ro doesn't bill it to insurance. And Ro can't coordinate coverage for Medicare, Medicaid or other government plans, though federal employee (FEHB) members can use the concierge.
The Wegovy pill and the Zepbound KwikPen are cash pay only on Ro, whatever your insurance.
When is Ro worth it, on cost alone?
If your plan covers the pen and you want someone to run the prior authorization, the concierge is the thing you're paying for. If you're paying cash either way, compare the membership with what you'd pay your own prescriber for the same visits, since the drug price doesn't change.
Before you pay cash anywhere, check whether your plan covers it. A covered prescription with a manufacturer savings card is usually the cheapest route of all.
What to ask before you join
Which plan length am I signing up for, and when does it renew? Is the drug billed by Ro or by the pharmacy? If my insurance covers [drug], what will I pay each month, and does the membership still apply?
Ro's terms say the membership fee is non-refundable once paid. Write down the plan, the renewal date and what you were quoted.
