Answer
WeightWatchers Wegovy cost, and what insurance covers
The short answer
WeightWatchers Med+ costs $25 the first month, then $74 a month on a 12-month plan or $84 on six. Wegovy is billed separately at Novo's price: $199 for two starter pen fills, then $349; the pill is $149 to $299.
What does Med+ cost?
You commit to a 12-month or a 6-month plan. The first month is $25 either way, then $74 a month on the 12-month plan or $84 on the 6-month one, and the plan renews for another term at the same rate unless you cancel. The drug isn't included.
Med+ covers clinician visits, coaching, dosing support and help with insurance or the Medicare Bridge. WeightWatchers' public pages we read show no month-to-month Med+ option.
What does Wegovy cost through WeightWatchers?
The drug comes from CenterWell Pharmacy at Novo's self-pay prices. New patients pay $199 for each of the first two pen fills at 0.25 or 0.5 mg, then $349 a month, or $399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg. The pill is $149 at the starting dose and up to $299.
You can prepay to cut the monthly drug price, but you pay it all upfront, and a refund is figured at the standard price.
| Prepay | Wegovy pen (all doses) | Wegovy pill (9 to 25 mg) |
|---|---|---|
| 12 months | $249 | $249 |
| 6 months | $299 | $269 |
| 3 months | $329 | $289 |
| Month to month | $349 | $299 |
Read on the WeightWatchers medication pages in September 2026. Twelve months of the pen is $2,988, due upfront.
Is that more than buying Wegovy from Novo?
The month-to-month drug price is the same: NovoCare charges $199 for two starter fills, then $349, and $149 to $299 for the pill. The extra cost is the Med+ membership, $74 or $84 a month after the first.
Zepbound works the same way through WeightWatchers: $299 to $449 a month at LillyDirect's prices, dispensed by LillyDirect.
Will WeightWatchers use your insurance?
For the drug, it tries. Its insurance coordinator handles prior authorizations and refills, and it says that if insurance covers your medication, you may still owe a copay.
Not every form can be covered. WeightWatchers says the Zepbound KwikPen is cash only and not eligible for insurance, while the single-dose pen is. The membership fee itself is separate from the drug either way.
On Medicare, the $50 GLP-1 Bridge is the route it points to, and its terms say you can't seek reimbursement for its services from a government payer.
What should you check before you commit?
The contract is the part that costs people money.
Whether you're signing up for 12 months or 6, and when it renews.
Whether your plan covers the drug before you prepay for it.
That a prepaid drug refund is worked out at the standard monthly price.
Which pharmacy bills you for the drug: CenterWell for Wegovy, LillyDirect for Zepbound.
What to ask before you join
Is this a 12-month or 6-month commitment, and when does it renew? Will you bill my insurance for [drug], and if it's covered, what's my copay? If I prepay for the drug and stop early, how is the refund calculated?
Write down the plan, the renewal date and what you were quoted, with the date and the name of the person you spoke with.
